Paradise Tycoon: Progress Update #5
Closed Alpha version update
Last week the team continued to polish the features implemented for the Closed Alpha version. These features included sailing and the NPC trader, who made his first appearance at our Closed Alpha test island.
In the early versions of Paradise Tycoon, players will be able to use the small sailboat you have seen in the marketing material. It’s quick and easy to navigate, but you will eventually need a bigger vehicle to travel long distances with friends on board. The boat can be anchored in any harbor on NFT land or in public ports.
The NPC trader is one of the key features in the game. For now he resides at our test island, but will eventually move to Port Ohana. The NPC trader will exchange your crops and materials for MOANI tokens, seeds, and other resources you can use in crafting and tools. His limited stock will refresh daily and will be slightly different each time. The UI and UX of the trader are still a work in progress, but the key elements are now ready. Does the trader with the red cap and a little yellow chick look familiar to you?
Paradise Tycoon Token economics
Even though the Easter holidays made the week a bit short, our team was able to make great progress. In addition to the development efforts, we have also worked on the first article of our “Sustainable Play-and-Earn Game Economy” medium series. The first part is titled “Lessons from F2P and Spend-To-Earn ratio” and it will be published later this week.
