In the previous editions of Meet the Team, we took a close look at Empires Not Vampires company history, track record, and the C-level executives. In the third part, we introduce you to our advisory board. Without further ado, let’s get started.
Mauvis Ledford — Tech Advisor
Mauvis Ledford is a Builder & Lifelong learner that has been working in and launching tech startups for the past 15 years. He specializes in architecting highly-scalable systems and is best known for being the former CTO of CoinMarketCap where he scaled the platform to a top 100 Alexa site. Currently, Mauvis is CEO and principal advisor at BitNinja, and advisor for Aavegotchi and Dextools in addition to Paradise Tycoon. He currently resides in Singapore with his wife and French bulldog Loofy.
Joe Wong — Marketing Advisor
Joe Wong is a brilliant marketer, a serial entrepreneur, and a start-up advisor. For 22 years, he worked all across Asia and managed marketing campaigns for the largest brands in the world. The marketing expert also launched wtf* bikes, a fixed-gear bike business catering to avant-garde bikers. During this time, Joe had his first introduction to the crypto-world by accepting Bitcoin as a payment. Joe learned DeFi during the DeFi summer and started to advise crypto companies. In Fomocraft, Joe successfully “Blitz launched” Polkastarter, Thorwallet and Galaxy Fight Club to mention some.
David Hong — Legal Advisor
David graduated from Claremont McKenna College and obtained his JD from Georgetown University. He leads the crypto/blockchain practice of King & Wood Mallesons Shanghai office and started its affiliated blockchain advisory, Heyi Blockchain. He has advised major exchanges such as Bybit, etoro, and Coinbase. He’s also advised other crypto companies like Block.one, Crypto.com, and Hedera Hashgraph.
Ville Rauma — Gaming Advisor
Ville Rauma is an all-around game development professional with over 15 years of experience in all areas of the game business, and COO at Fingersoft, a video game developer best known for the Hill Climb Racing game franchise with over TWO BILLION installations. Ville has been responsible for designing and developing massively scalable, real-time server/client architectures which can cost-effectively support hundreds of thousands of concurrent players. On the organizational and business side Ville has been responsible for leading changes that enable profitable growth, building teams from the ground up, designing and building key organizational units, mentoring team members and leads, negotiating and closing multi-million euro agreements as well as taking part in various M&A projects.
Nicholas Krapels— Strategy Advisor
Nicholas Krapels is an American educator, entrepreneur, and early blockchain adopter based in Shanghai. He’s been actively involved in the crypto world now for almost six years. He started his career as a teacher. He taught entrepreneurship and strategy at Tongji University, SKEMA Business School, and the University of Aberdeen. Strongly connected to the Shanghai crypto ecosystem, Nicholas was appointed Director of Growth and Strategy at WanChain, an interoperable platform enabling the transfer of digital assets between blockchains. Moreover, he participated in many innovative blockchain projects including Mantra DAO, Finxflow, Launchpool and Aldrin helping with strategy, marketing, and development.
Kyn Chaturvedi — Business Advisor
Kyn is the COO at Minterest and formerly the CBDO at TomoChain, Kyn has been in the software & video game development space for 18 years and has launched and operated multiple startups over his career. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business and Bachelor Degrees in both Industrial Engineering & Economics from Georgia Tech. Kyn has been an investor in the blockchain space since 2014, and has spent much of the past 2 years participating in and building out DeFi-centric platforms including DEXs, AMMs, and gasless blockchain token structures to reduce friction for participation.
